Slowly working on the solar panel array to be installed this winter. It will be a pretty small system that will provide no more than about 25% of our power but every little bit helps. Due to the incomplete nature of our house roof and the number of mature trees surrounding the house, we have decided to go with a ground mount system. The mount and panels will be placed out in the field past the newer barn with the power running about 600 feet back up to the house meter.

The holes for the metal posts were dug out using both a neighbor's auger on our tractor, along with a fair amount of work to widen and deepen the holes using a manual post hole digger. The final holes (if approved by the county) are eighteen inches in diameter and 4-1/2 feet deep.
