After the post holes were dug (part auger, part manual post hole digger) the contractor assembled the metal posts that would support the panels.

My brother and I ferried the two yards of concrete from the truck and shoveled it into the holes. A few days later the contractor returned and assembled the rails and panels. Next was to get all of the conduits in place for the electricians due in a couple weeks.

My delay was due to the path crossing the rock road that runs between the field where the panels are located and the house. The three-foot trencher that I rented couldn't dig up the large rocks that made up the road base.

My backhoe was partially dis-assembled so I had to put it back together. After drilling out broken bolts and repairing no less than four broken hydraulic lines, the beasty finally ran long enough to make short work of the road crossing.
