We managed to harvest a couple pounds of Spruce tips this spring that will, hopefully, be used to try a few different spruce beers and perhaps a spruce mead.

At about the same time, nettles were coming on strong so we gathered and dried some for tea and Stephanie also used some of the fresh leaves to make nettle ravioli.

And we were happy to have met David Patte at the Lumos Winery who was kind enough to provide an introduction to Marce Wolf who has a truffle dog. And Marce managed to stop out at our farm the following day and her dog found a few ounces of fresh truffles! Woo-hoo!

So we made some truffle cheese, some truffle butter, and even a chocolate truffle martini.
