Continued dinking with the new aquaponics system ...

The garden has lots of colors this year and we popped out a few pounds of basil from the aquaponics.

We also brewed our first homemade beer in anticipation of creating a few unique blends of beer, mead and cider for the farm.

This year's tea starts in the cone-tainers are doing well so far. We intend to resize our winter boxes (that were used to overwinter the tea in the poly bags) so that the cone-tainer racks will fit inside without wasted space.

The tea plants started from seed in the ground last fall are growing very slowly, while the weeds are very energetic. Again, I should know better than to plant without a weed barrier if I don't want to spend the majority of my time weeding :-). The dozen tea plants we bought live are still doing well in the orchard. Notice that after about the fourth time weeding them I did manage to place down a weed barrier.
