This is the double row of tea plants put in last year. To help them survive the winter we added a layer of wood chips along with some weed block on a smaller section of them. Since the cold weather was past we cleared the wood chips from close around the tea seedling stems. They actually look good. A bit of leaf eating damage, a few slightly brown leaves, a couple that had most of the leaves stripped from them ... but overall they look much better than I expected!
We also pulled the Jiffy Forestry Plugs out of the barn workroom. We had started several batches of seeds in the plugs as an experiment and kept them in the barn workroom over winter to keep them from freezing with a heater set at 32 degrees.
We have several two year old apple whips that we grew from an heirloom apple tree on the property. They will be planted across the creek in the forest garden area.

Our baker's dozen hop plants are sprouting nicely already. This is their second year so it is time to get a much taller support set up.
