Bass, Grapes, Witches and Wood

The lone surviving member of the bass propagation attempt from two summers ago had to be moved. He (or she, I'll arbitrarily guess female) has lived in the baby sunfish tank. But over time, I noticed a distinct decrease in baby sunfish and without any bodies to account for that decrease. When I looked closer I found the baby bass had increased in size much faster than the baby sunfish. Assuming she was preying on the smaller sunfish, I moved her to the adult bass tank. However, the adult bass immediately started attacking the much smaller bass, causing her to try to hide behind the oyster shell tube. So she was moved into the adult sunfish tank. We'll see how she fares over time.
I learned how to trim my grapes this year for better control and growth. Mostly for fun, I attempted to root some of the cuttings in our aeroponic system. Three out of about a dozen pieces survived and formed roots. One of the three succumbed fairly soon after being transplanted, so we have two new plants.
We are attempting to get rid of many years of junk accumulation. Some things, like my old 1978 motorcycle were supposed to be restoration projects, some just vague ideas of future use. Most of my hoarding was a waste of time and space as the objects slowly deteriorated into garbage. In any case, I cleared out most of the old barn that was originally used by the prior owners to build a sailboat, and am going to use it for our woodshed. And we now have several trailer loads of waste to take to the dump and to the metal recycle. Ahhh, more projects!
Witches, errrr, I mean girls, just want to have fun. Stephanie and Elke spent a bit of time playing and taking a few pics while practicing their levitation.
