Bitters, Elderberry & Road Wood

The picture below shows the bottles of bitters I started a couple weeks ago, after they had been filtered through flour sack material. They, of course, don't taste the same as the store-bought variety, but I think they turned out quite well for my first attempt and it tastes fine in my coffee. I will be adding a few tweaks for the next batch however.

The elderberry cuttings from up on the hill, along with those I purchased, all seem to be doing very well so far. The last pot in the back has the blackberry cuttings from the orchard plant that the elk are slowly destroying.

In between other tasks, I've managed to collect up some of the wood that had fallen across the road. As Stephanie has the truck with her most days, I only have the tractor to move it, so it is a very small amount for each load.
